Abstract :
Study of individual elbow muscles´ mechanical actions is important in understanding the muscles´ fundamental roles in performing various motor tasks. It also helps us gain insights into the compensatory mechanisms for elbow injuries like the ulnar collateral ligament (UCL) injury, which is a common sports-related injury. The mechanical actions of individual elbow muscles and their roles in loading/unloading the UCL were studied through in vivo experiments.
