Abstract
Interactive 3D element is a difficult problem of multimedia courseware for a long time. The traditional method is using some special 3D tools or software to developing 3D function outside the courseware. It is inconvenient and poorly effective. This paper brings a new method, which allows interactive 3D elements to be added in Flash. The method is using ActionScript and Sandy library. 3D scene is created by Sandy APIs and managed by Flash functions. An example of engineering graphics courseware is illustrated to explain how this procedure is implemented. The example shows the method is feasible and effective.
