Abstract :
A rapid extraction of a light pulse captured in an ultrahigh-Q width-modulated cavity by dynamically changing the confinement strength via optical pumping was demonstrated. Numerically, it is showed that it can freeze a part of a running pulse in a line defect waveguide by focusing a pump beam on a specific point, in which we can dynamically create or diminish a high Q nanocavity on demand.
