Abstract
The application of intelligent control technology promote the development of intelligent furniture. And intelligent will be a new trend of furniture in the future. The paper defined the concept of intelligent furniture. And analysis the application of each intelligent control theory such as Cybernetics and Information theory, also technology such as Sensor and automatic detection, Microelectronics and Servo drive technology used in furniture. Some new methods such as imitation, transplantation, replacement and standardization are used to design the intelligent furniture. This paper introduces mainly one method called function module design. First classify the intelligent future system into many subsystems, and then classify the subsystems into many units which has same or similar function. We call these units function module. Finally to study the realization, principle and actuator of each unit. An example of designing an intelligent garderobe with dehumidification and mildew proof function is shown in the paper so as to introduced the new method.
