Abstract :
Wetland protection is a system project and how to apply ontology technology into this field is a crucial task. Through the comparison of semantic level, epistemological level, logical level, ontology level, conceptual level, and other knowledge representation methods, the feasibility and advantage of the ontology approach is approved. After the analysis of requirements of the wetland protection, a demand driven model based on inputs and outputs of resources is established. Domain ontology is established combing several methods. The research on the application of wetland domain ontology is conducted in two aspects: B/S based 3-layer wetland service system and neural network sample data support
