  • Abstract
An analysis based on a perturbation theory for evaluating the mass sensitivity, Sm, for acoustic wave gravimetric sensors made of thin rods is presented. The lowest order flexural, F 11, torsional T01 and longitudinal L01 acoustic modes are of interest. The mass sensitivity is found to be -1/2 ρsa, -2/ρ sa, and -1/ρsa for F11, T01, and L01 mode, respectively
