Abstract
An analysis based on a perturbation theory for evaluating the mass sensitivity, S m, for acoustic wave gravimetric sensors made of thin rods is presented. The lowest order flexural, F 11, torsional T 01 and longitudinal L 01 acoustic modes are of interest. The mass sensitivity is found to be -1/2 ρsa , -2/ρ sa , and -1/ρsa for F 11, T 01, and L 01 mode, respectively
