Abstract :
This paper reports an improved value of the fine structure constant α derived from the measurement of the electron magnetic moment and the theoretical calculation in QED up to the tenth order. The preliminary result of the new evaluation is α-1 (new) = 137.035 999 173 3 (344) [0.251 ppb].
