Abstract
During the past 20 years the scope and complexity of engineering work and responsibilities have dramatically changed, and in the modern companies engineers perform many management activities. This trend had a major impact on engineering education and a great number of programs in engineering and technology management were started all over the world. However, from the analysis of several programs some concerns do emerge and open questions still make the development of educational programs in this field a difficult task.
