Abstract :
Plentiful software tools and motion libraries have been developed by the professionals from computer animation industry to produce expressive movements and behaviors on animated figures. They provide convenient sources for driving social robots that use body movements to convey conversational information to the people. The similarity of visual expression tasks between both artifacts leads to the study of designing robot motion with the methods of character animation.
