Abstract
With this contribution we report on work done during the establishment of the JV Sampling Watt Meter (SWM). We describe a part of the power estimation technique, and the analyses of our technique which calculates precision RMS with predictable maximum error. The system is able to calculate RMS of non-periodic, non-synchronized signals with fixed buffer size and fixed sampling frequency.
