Designers requirements for usage information in the development of a Usage Reference Model for IBC

Presents work carried out under the RACE programme. This programme consists of pre-competitive research into the development of integrated Broadband Communications (IBC) systems. These systems provide very high bandwidth data networks which can offer high quality and high capacity network services. RACE aims to provide European network designers with strategic information which will enable them to design such networks with optimum effectiveness. The work described is part of the designer requirements work package of the Usage Reference Model (URM) project. The role of the URM is to co-ordinate the presentation of data concerning the usage of IBC networks to RACE designers
