Abstract
Dispersion and nonlinear management concept for femtosecond optical solitons is considered. Novel soliton solutions are discovered for the generalized NLSE model with varying dispersion, nonlinearity and gain or absorption taking into account the major higher order effects, i.e. the dispersion slope, the dispersion of the nonlinear Kerr effect, and the Raman self-scattering effect. Different femtosecond soliton management regimes are predicted
