Abstract
Examines the development of integrated broadband services which will follow the development of ISDN, and other changes in the telecommunications regulatory landscape. In this context, identification of the potential benefits of integrated multimedia communication services is the subject of a multinational study undertaken by three consulting and research organisations: IFC Research Ltd (UK), IDATE (France) and the Fraunhofer Institute of West Germany. This work began in January 1988 and is being conducted under the aegis of the European Community´s RACE programme, which is concerned with the development and specification of technologies to be implemented in integrated broadband communications
