Abstract :
The authors analyse the constant quality video coding feature, presenting some of the most promising implementation schemes. Two main approaches to design a video coding scheme suitable for ATM networks, namely, the one-layer coding and two-layer coding are described. The call setup traffic contract negotiation and the policing function for ATM connections are also discussed
