  • Abstract
    This paper presents a new real-time algorithm for music recognition. According to music characteristics, we analyzed spectrum at the music pitches frequencies by using wavelet transform and DTFT, which increases not only the computing efficiency but also the resistance to noise. We advance a recognition strategy of note voting and music segmentation. New recognition rules for chords recognition are also presented. Experimental results show that our algorithm is fast and effective
