Abstract :
A series of general expressions of the electromagnetic field in the first layer of a stratified half-space composed of n linear homogeneous conducting layers, produced by a time-harmonic HED which is embedded in the same first conducting layer, is presented by applying the Hankel transform and the inverse Hankel transform. The questions of electromagnetic field in a stratified conducting half-space which includes any number of conducting layers can be easily solved by means of these expressions.
