Abstract
The centralized and distributed algorithms for integrated diversity and base station assignment are proposed. Compared to the previous work that needs to solve the constrained optimization problem and involves both the variables of power and the variables of weight for each iteration, the proposed algorithms refrain from solving the constrained optimization problem and are based only on the variables of power. The proposed algorithms can find the optimal feasible power and the optimal base station assignment that result in the minimal power consumption, and according to the simulation results, we found that integrating the base station assignment into diversity can largely enhance the performance.
