Abstract :
The development of television cameras has been closely linked to that of the actual pick-up devices used. The recent introduction of CCD pick-up devices has had a profound influence on the design, performance and operation of portable television cameras. Now, with high resolution, high performance CCD devices becoming available, studio cameras can be produced which meet the industry´s performance requirements, while exploiting the advantages of CCDs. The design of the camera head, control systems, and operational facilities are all influenced by this new pick-up device
