Abstract :
This paper presents the development of a three-leg fuel cell boost converter. To meet the power conditioning requirements for fuel cells, multi-leg converters with phase interleaving pulse-width modulation is one of the popular solutions. Implementing the interlacing pulse-width modulation needs phase-lock circuits, however most digital signal processors don´t support this function. The presented novel phase-interleaving pulse-width modulation minimizes the number of timer to one, and is especially useful for digital signal processors without phase locking support. Finally, experimental results of a 1200 W prototype are given to justify the feasibility of the presented pulse-width modulation through a digital signal processor without the phase locking function, TMS320F2812.
