Abstract :
This paper makes user-level QoS assessment of packet scheduling schemes for user-level QoS guarantee in audio-video transmission by IEEE 802.11e HCCA. We compare three packet scheduling schemes: TGe, static scheduling (SS), and multimedia priority dynamic scheduling (MPDS). We treat various types of video traffic in our experiment. From the experiment results, we have confirmed that the difference of the video traffic types gives different results of user-level QoS. We have also found that the user-level QoS for the SS scheme with video of picture pattern I and the MPDS scheme is kept high even if the TXOP duration for the video traffic is reduced.
