Abstract :
The broadband slot antennas with various regular rhombus slots are proposed and studied. Impedance, radiation, and gain characteristics of this proposed antenna are presented and discussed In this study, it is found that the impedance bandwidth of the proposed antenna can be larger if the size of regular rhombus slot becomes smaller. From experimental results, a slot antenna with a side of regular rhombus of 15 mm has the operating bandwidth of about 60% that is larger than that (34%) of a side of 30 mm. Also, within the wide operating band, gain variation of the proposed antenna can be less than 2 dBi with its stable broadside radiation patterns.
