  • Abstract
    An azimuth logging tool, which has the performance of intelligence, low cost, small volume and rapid measurement, was designed based on the sensor of piezoelectric gyro. A small angle approach algorithm based on the way of curve-fit was given, and the acquisition data from the piezoelectric gyroscope was optimized with an algorithm of fast wavelet filtering. The designed software and hardware module have wider application area and bigger practicability. The system´s location accuracy is improved to 0.3 degrees and the azimuth logging time is limited in the 125 seconds, through the analysis of experiment datum and the application of engineering
