This paper relates to the document which gives guidance on writing the technical specification for the procurement of turbine-driven generators and their auxiliaries for use in electricity generating stations. The guide is not applicable to equipment for use in nuclear reactor plant areas of nuclear power stations. The object of the guide is to make the intending purchaser aware of options and alternatives which he may wish to consider, and to enable him to state the requirements in a comprehensive manner to potential suppliers with the object of achieving an integrated power installation, ensuring compatibility with contracts for other plant items end fully meeting the requirements of European legislation designed to promote the Single Market
