Abstract :
A compact PIFA for Bluetooth, S-DMB, Wibro, WiMax, and WLAN applications is introduced. The proposed antenna is fed by a coaxial connector and has the modified shorting plate structure for the enhanced bandwidth at the low band. The bandwidth is 19.4% (2.28-2.77 GHz) and 47.7% (4.04-6.57 GHz) at VSWR < 2.5 and the measured maximum gain is 4.95 dBi at 6.3 GHz. Details of the antenna design and experimental results are demonstrated.
