Abstract :
In this paper, a brief description about the development of micro polymer electrolyte fuel cell (PEFC) was presented. PEFCs were divided into two different types: micro proton exchange membrane fuel cell, which used hydrogen as fuel, and micro direct methanol fuel cell, which used liquid methanol as fuel. To compete with the advanced batteries technology, the miniaturization of the fuel supply system of micro fuel cell remained a great challenge. This point was emphasized in this article.
