Abstract :
This paper proposes the pattern/polarization diversity array for MIMO applications by applying vertical excitation. We show that antenna´s pattern and polarization characteristics are changed due to vertical feeding. Then, we attempt to realize the two antenna diversity array by using different feeding method. In addition, the spatial correlations of different excitations are investigated. Finally, the analysis of the diversity system in the view point of capacity is presented.
