    This paper studies the IP network routing algorithm based on mathematical theories and methods. It has analyzed the limitation based on distance vector of routing protocol RIP and based on links the routing protocol OSPF. It proposes an improved Dijkstra algorithm, makes the routers and communication links of the cost (transmission speed and delay) can taken into account. In view of distributed multimedia based on QoS network routing mechanism needs, and consider only the connectivity of OSPF is not able to provide QoS guarantee, at the same time presents network parameters such as a comprehensive consideration bandwidth, delay, and site counts, so that the selected route out to meet the needs of users for the bandwidth, and validation through computer simulation experiments.
