Abstract
The problem of generating an approximate TE electromagnetic X-wave in free space using a finite Huygens´ aperture is investigated. The physical meaning of the X-wave radiation from a Huygens´ aperture is studied in connection with obtaining an optimum size and discretization for the source aperture. Numerical results for generating transverse electric (TE) X-wave are presented and discussed
