Abstract
Summary form only given, as follows. Different normalization methods applied to the weight vectors of a self-organizing process produce different rates of organization for the process, different measures of stability, and different measures of correctness for the map produced. Processes involving the right kind of weight vector normalization methods produced superior rates of organization, stability measures, and correctness measures over processes that employed no normalization of weight vectors
