Abstract :
The distribution automation system (DAS) is a system to provide remote control and supervising switches on a high-voltage distribution line for switching load current of the line either automatically or manually. The DAS is widely used in Japan and requires an automatic switch (sectionalizer) which Toshiba has continuously supplied since 1977. The authors introduce the automatic switch based on their experiences
