Abstract :
Experimental research on rectangular AT-cut quartz crystal plates has been conducted. In particular, resonant-frequency mode charts vs. length and width-to-thickness ratios for rectangular AT-cut plates were obtained experimentally, and the unwanted responses of a crystal oscillator controlled by an AT-cut plate were compared to results obtained from frequency mode charts. Frequency mode charts are compared with Mindlin´s theory expanded with infinite power series of two-dimensional equations for the thickness-coordinate of the crystal plates
