Abstract
The author details tests to be carried out on television receive only earth stations (TVRO), to ensure that they do not cause excessive electromagnetic interference and are not unduly affected by it. He first looks at intermodulation interference from telecommunication satellites, then looks at emissions from the receiver antenna, receiver housing and receiver power supply. A two-tone-test setup is described to check: conversion oscillator stability; amplification response; amplitude response; intermodulations ratio; and noise figure
