Test signals and automatic measurement methods for HDMAC signal

Within the framework of the European HDTV EUREKA-95 project, a new European HDMAC packet transmission standard has been developed, designed to be compatible with the present European D-D2 MAC/Packet transmission standard. The authors propose new compatible test signals and measurement methods for HDMAC. The first part of the paper consists of a brief description of conventional MAC test signals and they deal with HDMAC specificity. The second part is a description of a the new test signals, including the new measurement methods required for HDMAC signals
