Abstract :
The new tariffs which has been applied since January 1988 in Tokyo, Japan, have posed a problem due to the diversity of tariffs for seasonal/time-of-use consumption and methods of determining the contract demand based on real value. The electronic watthour meter has solved the problem. The authors deal with the outline of these tariffs and the function of the electronic watthour meter applied along with new tariffs
