Abstract
DC/DC resonant converter controlled with constant frequency by means of the additional transistors conduction time control is presented. The proposed converter topology allows to relatively high range of its output power changes in comparison to the conventional PRC converter. Comparison between average power losses in semiconductor elements in a DC/DC converter controlled with constant frequency and in equivalent DC/DC converter controlled with variable frequency is presented to emphasize attractiveness of the proposed converter. Power losses were calculated and verified experimentally. Some of the converter characteristics from PSPICE simulation are presented and compared with experimental results.
