Trace heating-a process user´s perspective

Zeneca operates a wide range of plants in the pharmaceutical and chemical sectors. Typically they are smaller primarily batch-based plants with limited continuous control and based in the UK. There are a few larger plants employing both batch and continuous costing up to 50M. Here, the author examines the industrial use of electrical trace heating from Zeneca´s perspective
