Abstract :
The thermal environment that dictates module operating temperature is complex, also being influenced by many variables such as: irradiance, ambient temperature, speed and direction of the wind and module design, orientation, and mounting structure. This paper presents the results of some experiments aimed to verify the thermal behaviour of a photovoltaic module. The study is also based on an analytical electrical and thermal model that has been developed to calculate the cell temperature starting from measured meteorological data.
