Abstract :
A digital signal processing subsystem has been developed for the Lincoln Laboratory Firepond Laser Radar. This high-resolution radar is capable of operating in a wide variety of modes; hence, the signal processing requirements of the subsystem vary from one application to the next, and require a subsystem that is both flexible and extremely fast. The system uses off-the-shelf computers attached in real-time configuration. The system criteria, configuration, software, and applications are discussed
