    Presents a description of RD (reaction-diffusion) systems designed to perform analysis and enhancement on specific types of images. The operation of RD-systems and primary analytical approach is described, followed by design methods and numerical experiments with three systems. First the authors briefly outline reasoning which led to the adoption of RD-systems as an image processing paradigm, thus placing this approach into the current arena of image processing techniques
