Abstract :
An algorithm is introduced for the simulation of sound signals propagating in acoustic media. Implementation of the algorithm is achieved using C++ on a Windows 2000 platform. Then a simulation experiment using the computer program is performed to study how a sound signal is reflected and transmitted when it goes through a median interface between the air and water. Another experiment demonstrates how to use the simulation program to study the effects of a partition wall blocking noises
