Abstract :
This paper describes the design and development of a transputer based processing module equipped with a flexible 10 controller capable of operating at video rates. The 10 controller allows complex data structures to be moved directly into or out of the transputer´s memory space with only a small impact on the performance of the transputer. Additionally, the transfers can be synchronised with the operation of the transputer via the event, and eventack interface. The module is intended to be a high level processing element within a real-time image processor
