Abstract :
For the free-radical polymerization systems, the procedure is developed for design of adaptive fuzzy controller. The nonlinear control system is used to regulate directly temperature in the reactor and conversion rate of the monomer and the number average molecular weight of polymerization is adjusted indirectly under anticipated conversion rate. Based on the Lyapunov´s stability theory, the fuzzy parameters are turned on-line without more expert knowledge. Both unmodeled dynamics and approximation errors are considered in presented control strategy. The robust compensate control is obtained by solving the minmax optimal problem. The nonlinear estimator is designed without any linear approximation for the unmeasurable states. The result of the simulation means that the control scheme is efficient to the quality-control for polymerization process
