Abstract :
This paper presents a test method for generator´s core control component, automatic voltage regulator (AVR). AVR is conventionally tested in generator platform which brings about high cost and low efficiency. Nevertheless, off-line test for steady-state and dynamic performance of AVR are difficult to accomplish. In order to solve this issue, this paper explores the application of HIL technology in aircraft power control unit test and proposes an HIL test method based on generator identification model. A synchronous generator is analyzed and modeled in RT-LAB. Test loop is established by connecting AVR to real-time simulator. Steady-state and dynamic loading/unloading test results prove that this test method is effective and efficient that initially realizes off-line PID adjustment and test for AVR.
