Through analyzing the principle of spindle drive of high speed winding machine for synthetic filament, on the basis of actual apparent density, a kind of control model, control algorithm and its implementation scheme to realize spindle drive for uniform velocity winding is researched and established. The computer control technique of spindle drive realized by using Programmable Computer Controller (PCC) and the application of software engineering method in programming for uniform velocity winding is introduced. Thus, the theoretical foundation and effective measure for realizing uniform velocity winding in the process of production is provided. It is an essential technique for speed up of winding machine. The results testing the performance of real setup show that the control deviation is accurate to within 0.2% and the rate of variation in winding speed is lower than 3%.
