Abstract :
Significant efforts have been underway in the past several years to develop the machinery necessary for real-time image analysis. The paper presents an overview of these image understanding architectures. The authors outline the types of algorithms that are required, describe some of the architectures that are being developed and discuss methods of comparing different types of architectures
