Abstract :
An exact analysis is derived for precisely calculating the bit error probability of a direct sequence ultra-wideband system accounting for the multiuser interference. The analytical expressions are validated by simulation and the inaccuracy of the Gaussian approximation is also assessed. A simple and accurate method based on a simplified receiver decision statistic is also derived. A mistake in previous published work is corrected
