Abstract
Several approaches have been made to make systolic arrays more flexible, so that different problems can be handled by a single systolic array. The paper considers an alternative concept of a VLSI-suited architecture and its application to real-time robot control and high-speed vision systems: the instruction systolic array (ISA)
