  • Abstract
    This joint conference focuses on new technologies and methods that enable business processes to smoothly transcend organizational boundaries. This includes solutions to dynamically establish business relationships, provide services across organizational boundaries - also in a Mashup and Web 2.0 environment as well as from mobile devices - and exercise governance. The program of CEC??08/EEE??08 consists of invited talks, paper presentations, panel discussions, workshops. The conference has two focal themes: Web 2.0 and Government/Public Sector. The main themes of this year conference focus on: Negotiation and purchasing technology, Marketing and advertising technology, Payment and privacy enhancing technology, Metering and measurement technology, Business process management and enterprise grid computing, Business intelligence and real-time business performance monitoring, Collaborative engineering and knowledge management, Security and trust management as well as Eapplications and service application architecture. The papers were reviewed based on five criteria: relevance to the subject of the conference, originality, potential impact on the community, technical depth, and presentation. We received three review reports for most papers and at least two reports for any paper before the final decisions were made. Finally, we accepted a total of 24 full papers for the research and industry tracks, which amounts to an acceptance rate of 31%. In addition, we accepted 17 short papers.
