Welcome

Welcome to the ISEI 2012 which is being held at the Ritz Carlton hotel in sunny San Juan, Puerto Rico from June 10–13, 2012. The conference is sponsored by the IEEE Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation Society (DEIS). This is the 19th biennial conference in the series that began in 1976. The aim of the founders of the ISEI was to have a conference that would be held in North America, yet attract a large percentage of attendees from outside North America. While Puerto Rico is not considered part of any continent, it is a self-governing commonwealth in association with the United States. The conference is intended to be a bridge between the entirely research-oriented Conference on Electrical Insulation and Dielectric Phenomena and the more industrially-oriented Electrical Insulation Conference.
