Level of supply chain collaboration of Malaysian SME manufacturers

The purpose of this research is to identify the level of supply chain collaboration of Malaysian SME manufacturers. This is determined by using the level of supply chain operational information integration with trading partners as an indicator to the level of supply chain collaboration. This study deployed both quantitative and qualitative approaches to identify the level of supply chain collaboration and explained why it is at the said level. The research discovered that the level of supply chain collaboration of Malaysian SME manufactures with their trading partners is at minimal level. This research also uncovered that the type of business relation intimacy could determine the level of supply chain collaboration of a SME with trading partners.
